Metronet PayAsYouGo: Rather than having to pay one flat monthly charge for Broadband it gives you the flexibility to have an ADSL connection and pay for what you use. Your usage is charged on the basis on how many websites you surf, emails you send and receive, files you download, etc. This volume of data (usage) is measured in megabytes (MB) and billed to you at the end of each month's service @ .0025p per exra MB (£2.56 per extra Gigabyte or 1024Mb. There is a ceiling to the cost as if you use above 5 Gbytes the price will not rise above £23.75. Still a saving on many ISPs. However there is no web space or email service at this price - they cost extra.
