Visiting the Red Kite Centre
Red Kite Feeding has been taking place at Gigrin Farm for 365 days a year the past 19 years without break.
We open from 1pm every day of the year, but for Christmas Day.
Feeding times change as red kites don't know that the clocks change twice a year.
From the last Sunday in October, onwards through the winter, Feeding will be at 2pm, until the end of March..
From the last sunday in March, onwards through the summer,until the end of October, Feeding will be at 3pm..
Admissions: Adults £4.50, O.A.P £3.50, Children £2.00 (4yrs and under are Free)
Booking is only required if you are coming as a group (12 or more adults) or organising a coach party.

It should be noted, by those who need to drive down the 130 mtrs to the hides from the carpark, that it is necassery to arrive at the farm no later that 2pm in summer in order to secure a parking space and place(s) in a hide. Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead. During summer months they must not be left in cars.
Car Alarms: If alarms are set we would ask that you please make sure all windows and skylights are closed as the slightest breeze can set off alarms resulting in a very noisy afternoon..
The meat we feed to the kites is beef - anything up to 700kg/week.
This is fit for human consumption and can actually be too lean for beef burgers!
